The Taylor Foundation was founded by Nadia and Alf Taylor, Directors of TNA, after visiting an under-resourced school in South Africa. Inspired by their belief in equality for all, they decided that very day to build a new school facility for over 300 students. This moment marked the beginning of the Taylor family’s commitment to uplifting children through education, starting in Africa.
The Taylor giving doubles with $1 million donated to children’s education projects. They expand their giving into Latin America and into healthcare.
The Taylors fund their first project in the Pacific region and extend their support to social enterprise projects.
To strategically expand the Foundation’s impact as giving increases, Nadia and Alf welcome a CEO to the team. The Foundation begins shifting from a business making donations to a full-blown philanthropic program.
As the philanthropic program continues to grow, a dedicated entity has been established in Australia, including Board members, underscoring the Taylor Foundation’s serious commitment to giving. Well over 100 project partners are being supported.
A Foundation structure is formalised in the US, and the Board expands globally.
Now funding projects in 40 countries, Nadia and Alf have decided to support fellow philanthropists who, like them 20 years ago, want to improve global giving.
The team expands, and the Enable Fund is established to channel 100% of fellow philanthropists’ funding to the hardest-hit and hardest-to-reach communities.
Multi-year partnerships are initiated with philanthropic organisations, individuals, and private foundations across Australia, the US, the UK, and Europe.

The Taylor Foundation supports over 175 locally led organisations, changing the lives of over 200,000 people across 47 countries, and counting.
Nadia is a Co-founder and Director of TNA Solutions Pty Ltd. With a determination to work hard and never give up, Nadia was instrumental in developing TNA into a market-leading global enterprise and, alongside Alf, was recently awarded the Australian Ethnic Business Award in the medium-to-large category.
Nadia devotes a significant amount of her time to the foundation’s work and is just as comfortable in informal settlements in developing countries as she is in the boardroom. Nadia’s passion for giving back is infectious, and her willingness to share her success with others is truly inspiring.
Alf Taylor is a Co-founder and CEO of TNA Solutions Pty Ltd. and has over 40 years’ experience in the food packaging industry. A graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Alf revolutionised the packaging industry by developing a machine that redefined performance standards and quickly established TNA as a global player in the packaging industry.
Alf is passionate about ensuring everyone gets a “fair go” and is a fierce advocate for those who are less fortunate.
Dave has a Bachelors and Masters of International Development studies from Macquarie University and spent most of his 20s building a not-for-profit organisation from an idea into a successful enterprise that continues to grow and thrive.
After 15 years living in Africa, Dave is passionate about identifying high-quality development organisations and providing technical support to our partners, in addition to his role allocating funds for our Foundation.
Dave is now excited that we can share more about the work we do and connect people who want to do good around the world with partners on the ground who are delivering exceptional projects.
South African born and having lived and worked across the UK and Australia, Claire has over 20 years’ experience in the global philanthropy sector.
A humanitarian at heart and fiercely passionate about equality, Claire thrives on supporting like-minded people to give in a way that is genuine, effective, and continues to make an impact long after we’re gone.
Pat Farmer AM is a professional ultra-marathon runner, former Australian parliamentarian, and philanthropist renowned for combining extreme endurance with humanitarian purpose. Awarded the Order of Australia (AM) for his contributions to sport, politics, and charity, Pat has also been named Achiever of the Year and National Geographic’s Adventurer of the Year. Over a 30-year running career, he has raised millions of dollars for charities including Lifeline, the Cancer Council, the Red Cross, Diabetes Australia, and the Nanhi Kali Foundation. His extraordinary feats include running over 20,000km from the North Pole to the South Pole, the length of Vietnam, across India, and through the Middle East to promote peace and unity. Pat also served eight years in Australia’s Federal Parliament, including three years as Parliamentary Secretary for Education, Science and Training.
Claire is a human rights lawyer and is currently a Judicial Registrar at the Federal Court of Australia. She holds Degrees in Law and Arts from the University of New South Wales, a Masters of Laws from Columbia University, and is presently undertaking a PhD at the University of Sydney.
Claire has worked in the human rights field on issues ranging from child refugees to violence against women and has been widely recognised for her work; including being named one of the Australian Financial Review’s ‘100 Women of Influence’.

Professionally, Shayne is the Founder & Managing Partner of LFI (www.lfiusa.com), a global deep tech commercialization partner based in the U.S.A. LFI advises the world’s most advanced manufacturers on commercializing quantum technologies to solve complex operational challenges. Shayne applies the same rigorous, architectural lens to his philanthropic leadership, leveraging his experience across Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America to support the Foundation’s mission to foster education, social enterprise, and equitable opportunity for marginalized communities worldwide.
Toby Steward holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University (U.S.A.) and is a Registered Engineer, with most of his career spent in the food industry. He has been with TNA North America for over 25 years, in both sales and management.
Toby has continued to support the community through volunteer work with non-profit groups, Habitat for Humanity homebuilding, Disaster Relief church response, cleanup teams, Pregnancy Care support centres, and Dwell support groups for foster care families. He is excited for the opportunity to support the growth of the Nadia and Alf Taylor Foundation in the USA. Toby lives with his wife, Susan, in the mountains of Pennsylvania, USA.
Teri Johnson is the former Vice-President, North America at TNA Solutions Pty Ltd. and has over 30 years of experience in the food processing and packaging technology industry, having essayed diverse roles from Systems Engineer to Product Marketing Manager. Her wealth of experience not only makes her a preferred choice on platforms that lend impetus to the industry, like Director-at-Large for Snac International, but also enables her to address diversity and inclusion through networks like Women in Snacks (WinS).
A proponent of inclusive growth, Teri has been actively involved in community building activities for more than a decade, as a volunteer, fund raiser and board member for several not-for-profit organisations. Teri lives in the high desert in beautiful Central Oregon and enjoys nurturing a homegrown forest of miniature conifers in her spare time.
